Slovak voters decided on who would replace President Zuzana Čaputová in the Presidential Palace on April 6. Čaputová announced in June 2023 that she would not seek reelection. Speaker of Parliament Peter Pellegrini (Hlas) defeated ex-diplomat Ivan Korčok in a runoff.
