The Slovak daily Pravda wrote that foreign nationals who have a permanent stay in Slovakia and who come from EU member states can vote in the Slovak MEP elections, provided that they register in the voter lists.

If they want to cast votes for MEPs running in their home countries but do not want to travel home, they can vote in the countries' respective embassies in Slovakia.

According to the findings of the committee, there are about 6,800 such citizens in Slovakia.
