A leading Hong Kong daily runs a story written by a fictitious Slovak

Peter Sojka doesn't exist.

The Hong Kong daily South China Morning Post (SCMP) published last Friday, December 1, an opinion on the war in Ukraine believed to be written by Slovak expert Peter Sojka.

It was titled: Why the US needs to get Ukraine to swallow a truce with Russia.

The alleged Slovak academic, and expert on US and EU foreign policies working at the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV), argued that the USA should convince Ukraine to agree on a truce with Russia, the Sme daily writes.

However, it has turned out that Sojka is a fictitious person.
