THE EASTERN Slovak city of Košice wants to start construction of an aquapark with a capacity of 2,500 visitors per day at the start of 2005.
The Slovak daily SME wrote that city officials want to finance the Sk100 million (€2.5 million) project largely with EU funds.
The aquapark would be built in Košice’s Old Town district on the site of the current indoor swimming pool.
