Following the failure of labour and business groups to agree on a minimum wage rise the cabinet will now decide how much the increase should be, and how far Slovakia will go to meeting an EU target of 60 percent of national average wage. Slovakia’s minimum wage, at Sk4,920 ($107) a month, is now 40 per cent of the national average salary.
