Members of the Roma minority in Slovakia with low education, who have difficulties finding jobs, remain a problem, the SITA newswire wrote.
Many members of the Roma minority live in settlements without electricity and gas, are uninformed about hygiene, suffer from illnesses and often from alcoholism as well. According to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Ethnic Minorities, Dušan Čaplovič, these are persistent problems of the Roma minority that have been listed in a plan that the Cabinet is to deal with on March 26.
Čaplovič has proposed measures that should increase the education level of the Roma community, and create better social conditions. SITA
