THE SLOVAK cabinet wants to improve its communication with the public, and has asked the World Bank to fund the initiative, daily SME wrote.

"We will provide the cabinet a wider grant so that it can improve its communication strategy," said World Bank representative Ingrid Brocková. Spokesman of the cabinet Martin Maruška has also confirmed that the cabinet had requested the grant.

According to Brocková, the government's reforms are very complex, and the World Bank's aim is that the government efficiently informs the public about these steps.

Health Minister Rudolf Zajac has asked for Sk120 million (€3 million) for the information campaign for his health care reforms while Labor Minister Ludovit Kanik has used about Sk47 million (€1.2 million) to explain the pension system reforms.
