The most widely seen impact of the global economic crisis on IT investments in enterprises is restriction on purchase of new hardware and software and more efficient use of technological solutions, according to a survey conducted by the TNS agency, reported the TASR newswire.
The results of the survey were provided to TASR by Microsoft, which commissioned the survey. At the beginning of May – only one fifth of those questioned said that they do not expect the crisis to impact their business. According to managers and IT experts of companies that took part in the survey, the crisis is focusing internal decision-making on cost-saving measures, an increase in productivity and efficiency as well as limiting growth plans.
Two-thirds of companies said that the ratio of price and performance is of primary importance during the global economic crisis. According to four-fifths of those asked, technological solutions may be helpful in the optimisation of expenses. TASR
