Conservative Democratic party announces it won’t run in June election

The Conservative Democrats of Slovakia (KDS) party will not field candidates in the parliamnetary election in June, KDS spokesperson Mária Majdová told the TASR newswire on March 1. “We've decided not to seek voters’ support in the election in June, primarily because of the party’s financial situation,” said party leader Vladimír Palko. According to Palko, the party would be left with almost no funds for its campaign if it paid the election deposit of €16,600.
