SLOVAKIA is one of the countries where a new project aimed at increasing the inclusion of Roma in the local decision-making process will be launched on November 5.
The project, ROMACT, is a joint initiative of the Council of Europe and the European Commission, which will run for one year in Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania and Italy. It will focus on “building the capacity and political will of local and regional authorities to develop and implement strategies and policies for Roma inclusion”, the CoE media officer Jaime Rodriguez wrote.
The project will be launched in Košice.
