THE CABINET's council for the information society adopted a statute and decided on personal and organisational provisions for the new cabinet appointee that will be responsible for building an information society in Slovakia.
The plenipotentiary will at first work under the Telecom Ministry but will later have an independent office.
The new plenipotentiary should start work this year, the private news agency SITA wrote.
According to a review by the World Economic Forum (WEF) published recently, Slovakia lags behind in the building of an information society.
