FESTIVITIES to welcome in the New Year in Slovakia were joyous and without accidents or violence, according to the daily Pravda.
The biggest celebrations were in the capital Bratislava. About 40,000 people, of which about 7,000 were from abroad, crammed into the city centre to see in the arrival of 2005.
Organizers in Bratislava consider this year’s celebrations to be the most successful yet.
