IN FEBRUARY 2006 the average interest rate on loans to corporates and individuals was 6.01 percent, up from 5.96 percent in January, the central bank said.
The average interest rate on loans to the corporate sphere was 4.64 percent while the rate on loans to households was 7.98 percent, the SITA news agency wrote.
The average interest rate on new loans drawn in February was 6.5 percent, up from 6.32 percent in January.
The corporate sphere drew new loans at a rate of 4.82 percent on average, while the average rate for households was 11.4 percent.
The average interest rate on deposits at commercial banks in Slovakia was 1.4 percent.
