Although members of parliament are to be given offices as of January 1, 2003 in a newly-constructed administrative building beside the legislature, they have left unchanged a law that provides them each with Sk27,000 ($600) a month to rent an office. Although the law was meant to be only a temporary measure until the new building was completed, deputies now say they doubt the legislature will repeal the provision.
