OLYMPIC WINDOW: Olympic torch on display in Bratislava

One of the most important Olympic symbols - the Olympic torch - is, for the first time ever, being exhibited in Slovakia from August 11, Tomáš Kočí of the Omnipublic agency told the TASR newswire. The torch, a symbol of peace, was carried to Beijing by Jozef Pribilinec, Slovak Olympic winner in walking from Soul 1988. As a souvenir, he was given the 1,000-gram torch on a crystal stand decorated with the Olympics logo. "It was the first time when only the fire, not the whole torch was passed on," said Kočí. "That is why we can also see it now at the Polus City Center." TASR
