Members of parliament yesterday decreed that the Attorney General’s office would investigate the role of the National Bank of Slovakia (NBS) in last year’s crash of Devín banka, and required NBS Governor Marián Jusko to supplement a central bank report on the Devín situation. The central bank said it welcomed the decision, and that it would finally put to rest speculation that the NBS had deliberately hushed up problems at Devín at the behest of politicians.
