Slovakia must out of all necessity be ruthlessly and systematically dumbed down if it is to be successfully remodelled to meet the ideological requirements of the "free" market super cult.

Slovakia is still a country where the family and traditional bonds of loyalty between humans mean something beyond consumer "choice". These are destined to be swept away by the kind of trashy rubbish you find on contemporary British TV and the media stimulation of artificial wants and the manipulation of desire inherent in any sterile, denatured, vacuous, atomised and non-cultural admass society. It is pertinent that Huxley is cited at the beginning of the article.

The world Huxley predicted in 1932 is becoming ever closer to a hideous reality. It will take some time before the churches become converted into nightclubs, but I've no doubt the rot has already set in.

You can find a prescient example in the brilliant novels of the French writer Michel Houellebecq in relation to the decline of French civilisation and in his demolition of the fakery, emptiness, fraudulence, and idiocy of "cultural promotion" in that country.
