I think 19 percent is a fair rate and according to international studies it is the natural level people are willing to share for the common good, rich or poor.

If I am "poor" in Denmark, for every 100 Danish crowns I earn, I have to pay 40 percent in direct and 10 percent in indirect taxes. If I am "rich" I pay roughly 70 percent in direct and 10 percent in indirect taxes.

After that, I am not rich anymore. There are cases where it really does not pay to work.

Slovakia' s flat tax rate is low enough to motivate people to pay it.

Jesper,

Denmark
