Slovak Film Week begins in Hungary

A week of Slovak films began in Budapest's Orokmozgo Film Museum on January 12 with the screening of new Slovak movie “Démoni” (Demons) by director Robert Veda, SLOVAKIA was told by the Slovak Institute in Budapest.

The event, which will present ten Slovak films along with five Hungarian movies that feature Slovak actors, has been organized by the Slovak Institute in co-operation with the Hungarian National Film Archive and the Slovak Film Institute.

Film buffs will have the chance to see Slovak-Czech-Hungarian film “Sokoliar Tomáš” (Tomas The Falconer) by Václav Vorlíček, along with movies "Pomocník" (The Helper) by Zoroslav Záhon, "Šiesta veta" (The Sixth Sentence) by Štefan Uher, "Niet inej cesty" (There Is No Other Way) by Jozef Zachar, "Polnočná omša" (Midnight Mass) by Jiří Krejčík, "Do zbrane, kuruci" (To Arms, kurutzs) by Andrej Lettrich, "Neha" (Tenderness) by Martin Šulík and "Tisícročná včela" (The Thousand Year Old Bee) by Juraj Jakubisko. A film by Miloslav Luther, "Chodník cez Dunaj" (Pathway Across The Danube), is scheduled for the final day of the event. TASR
