Slovak dominant fixed-line operator Slovak Telekom (ST) was fined Sk1.5 million (€49,800) because it did not release the complete directory of client phone numbers in a printed form.
Slovak Telekom appealed against the first decision on August 4, which the regulator's former chief Branislav Máčaj turned down. Vavro explained that the duty to provide a full telephone directory, updated regularly at least once a year, stems from the law on electric communications, which implemented relevant directives of the European Union (EU).
The Telecommunications Office carried out the audit related to respecting this obligation on its own initiative. SITA
