A Slovak citizen who was hospitalised with a fever at a clinic in Prague after his return from Mexico on May 3 is not infected with the A/H1N1 influenza virus. Laboratory tests ruled out its presence, the Slovak Health Ministry's spokesperson Zuzana Čižmáriková informed the SITA newswire.
“Results of the laboratory tests were negative,” Čižmáriková said.
Three other Slovak tourists who were visited by Slovak regional public health officers on May 4 do not have flu symptoms either. The three tourists with mild fevers, two Bratislava residents and one Nitra resident, had no actual flu symptoms after their return from Mexico and they are already at home, Čižmáriková added.
The first plane with tourists from Mexico since the occurrence of this new strain of influenza erupted in Mexico landed in Prague on May 3 with over two hundred people onboard, including thirty from Slovakia. SITA
