SLOVAKIA has started negotiations with Russia on a new bilateral contract on supplies of natural gas to Slovakia, said PM Mikuláš Dzurinda following a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
According to the Pravda daily, the current bilateral agreement runs out in 2008.
The Slovak PM said Russia is interested in preparing a contract that is advantageous for both parties.
