A HUMAN TRAFFICKING case was revealed by Slovak police in cooperation with their English counterparts concerning a young Slovak woman.
Last year, two men aged 25 and 27 from Košice asked a young woman to travel to the UK to marry a Pakistani citizen, promising her a luxurious lifestyle and high financial reward, as well as the possibility of returning to Slovakia after a certain period of time.
Other suspects, who are currently detained in the UK, drove her to Gravesend in Kent, where they forced her to perform sexual acts and later drove her to Walthamstow in London and sold her to a Pakistani man who intended to marry her and thus legalise his stay in the EU.
The man repeatedly raped his victim, which resulted in serious injuries that required immediate surgery for the woman.
Three men were detained in the case, two of whom are already facing charges in a similar case in Slovakia.
