THE REFERENDUM on early elections may, according to the most recent poll by the MVK agency, see a turnout as high as 62.2 percent, which would make the popular vote valid.
Of the 1,144 respondents, 36 percent said they would definitely go to the referendum, and 26.2 said they would probably attend, the Slovak daily SME wrote. Almost 27 percent of voters said they would definitely not go to the polling stations, and 11.2 percent have not decided yet.
MVK’s analysts, however, expect that less than 50 percent of voters would, in the end, participate, making the vote invalid. MVK estimated the turnout would reach between 35 and 42 percent.
