THE NUMBERS of the first winning receipts in the state’s receipt lottery were drawn on September 30, but the state-run lottery company Tipos will not publish their names until Wednesday, October 2.
Consumers entered over 7 million receipts into the state lottery in the first month, and Tipos drew the first ten winners on September 30, the Sme daily reported.
The drawing was public, but the lottery company has not published the numbers of the winning receipts yet due to the fact that 20 more receipts were drawn as well, so as to be available to substitute some of the ten winning numbers should those prove to be fake.
Tipos has already submitted the sheet with the winning numbers to the tax authorities, who will now have 48 hours to check whether the receipts were genuine and properly entered into the books. This means the tax auditors will actually check on the cashiers in at least ten shops, according to Sme.
Tipos will publish the winners on Wednesday with those who have registered their receipts through text messages or online receiving an e-mail or SMS notification. Others will have to check their tickets through the Tipos website or betting offices.
Most of the receipts have been entered into the lottery online, through the web or a mobile application.
