Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda is scheduled to meet his Czech counterpart Karel Schwarzenberg in Prague on November 4 along with the two other foreign ministers of the Visegrad Four and foreign ministers from western Balkan countries, according to a statement released by the Foreign Ministry's communications department.
Among the points for discussion at the meeting are the current situation in the EU and developing a common stance regarding the EU's enlargement plans, the TASR newswire wrote.
Also on the agenda is the signing of an agreement between Slovakia and the Czech Republic about reciprocal diplomatic representation in which the Czech Republic will be authorised to issue a Slovak Schengen visa in the countries of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Algeria, Ghana, Mongolia and the Philippines while Slovakia will be able to represent its western neighbour in Kenya.
During his visit to Prague, Dzurinda is also set to have personal meetings with his Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorsky and Macedonian Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki. Dzurinda will also attend a lecture on 'Value-based politics in the eurozone crisis context' and lay a wreath at the M.R. Štefánik memorial in Prague.
