Volkswagen to create 650 new jobs to produce new models

Car manufacturer Volkswagen is creating 650 new jobs and launching a third shift at its Bratislava plant from April 16 in order to produce the Skoda Citigo and SEAT Mii cars, part of the New Small Family series, Volkswagen's Vladimír Machalík told the TASR newswire on Wednesday, February 1.

The hiring process for the jobs, which are mainly suited to people with technical qualifications and previous experience, is due to take place during February and March. All newly hired employees will attend training courses and will enjoy benefits such as summer and Christmas bonuses. With more than 7,000 employers and 2.5 million cars produced since it launched operations in the country more than 20 years ago, Volkswagen Slovakia is among the biggest employers, investors and exporters in Slovakia.
