Slovakia lost its fifth match at the world championship

But it still managed to win 1 point in the match against Sweden.

Slovak national ice hockey team lost the game against Sweden at the 2018 IIHF World Championship in Denmark. The match ended 3:4 in overtime.

Slovak goals were scored by Tomáš Jurčo, Marek Ďaloga and Ladislav Nagy, while Dennis Everberg, Gustav Nyquist, Jacob de la Rose and Mika Zibanejad scored for Sweden.

Slovakia now has 8 points in the preliminary round.

The Slovaks are playing in group A of the preliminary round held in Copenhagen, Denmark, facing teams from Austria, Belarus, the Czech Republic, France, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland.

Based on current IIHF World Rankings, Slovakia is ranked 10th, while Sweden is 3rd.
