Procession
The Procession of Three Kings
Monday, January 6, at 14:30 in the courtyard of Bratislava Castle.
Starting at 14:30, the courtyard of Bratislava Castle will come alive with music as we await the arrival of the Three Wise Men – sages from the East. Guided by a star’s light shining from the castle, the royal procession will include shepherds, drummers, pipers, standard-bearers, and star-bearers. Everyone is warmly invited to join this festive parade.
The procession will be enriched with theatrical performances, culminating at the live nativity scene on Františkánske Square. The event concludes with a concert by the talented singer-songwriter SKYVA on Františkánske Square.
Observation
New Year’s observation at Bratislava Castle
Saturday, January 4 at 17:30 at Bratislava Castle.
Observe a spectacular celestial event as the Moon eclipses the planet Saturn. This rare phenomenon promises to be highly photogenic, showcasing the beauty of Saturn, an already fascinating object to observe.
Adding to the enchantment, Venus will also visit this part of the sky, along with Jupiter and other stunning winter celestial objects. Remember to dress warmly, and feel free to bring a thermos of tea to keep yourself cosy.
Nature
Sunday, January 5, from 10:00 to 15:00 at the eco-education centre on Kamzík hill.
What does the forest park look like in winter? What does this season mean for nature? Why do some animals seem to disappear during winter? And what can you still observe so clearly during this time?
Families with children of all ages are welcome to enjoy eco-educational programs with various themed activities, perfect for curious minds and creative spirits. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with nature and have fun this winter.
