Carnival on ice

February 16, from 10:00 to 12:00, at the Ondrej Nepela Ice Rink (Tipos Arena).

Bratislava–Nové Mesto, Jumping Joe skating school, and STARZ invite families with children to the traditional Ice Carnival on Sunday.

Enjoy free skating in fancy dress, with live DJ music, a raffle, and a contest for the best handmade mask. Parents are welcome to join! No mask? No problem — face painting artists will be there to help. A friendly host and skating school instructors will guide beginners and help experienced skaters improve their skills.

Hike to Veľká Baňa

Put on your hiking gear and set off on a short trek through Bratislava’s forest park (Lesopark).

Take Bus 43 from Patrónka to the Lesopark stop, where your journey begins. As you walk through the forest, you’ll arrive at Veľká Baňa, an unmarked hill standing 444 metres above sea level near Rača.

From there, descend to the Detvianska tram stop. The route covers approximately 12 km and takes around four hours to complete.

Folk carnival festivities in DK Kramáre

February 9, at 16:00 in DK Kramáre (Stromová 18).

Bratislava–Nové Mesto and DK Kramáre invite you to a joyful Folk Carnival Celebration. Bring your kids and loved ones for an afternoon full of music, creativity, and fun! Enjoy a live performance by DFS Čečinka, get creative at our craft workshops, decorate your own festive doughnut, and make your own carnival mask.
