Museum lecturer Mária Fuchsová said the exhibition is arranged chronologically, starting from the older Stone Age. Notable artifacts include the remains of a woolly mammoth and one of the earliest working tools.

"Gold pendants from Veľké Raškovce are a very significant find. This is the oldest evidence of a gold find in Slovakia," said Fuchsová for TASR. She added that an ashtray found in the same location carries the oldest depiction in Central Europe of a two-wheeled cart with a sled.

The last part of the exhibition is dedicated to medieval artifacts, including discoveries from the Michalovská Rotunda from the 11th century.

"The inscription on the stone found in the rotunda remains a mystery to this day," added Fuchsová. Other finds on show are from recent archaeological research in Senderovo and the village of Vinné.

The director of the museum, Stanislava Rovňáková, told the TASR newswire that the exhibition, which will become permanent at the museum, includes interactive elements and builds on previous exhibitions.
