The new Marai Bistro, which has replaced the traditional Košice cafe Carpano, opened on October 16. Carpano had been located in a town house at Hlavná 42 for over half a century.

The cafe's owners decided to close after Hungary bought the entire building at the end of 2020.

At the same time, the Hungarians also bought the neighbouring town house standing on the opposite side, which is located at Mäsiarská 9.
