Zuzana Palovic

Born in communist Czechoslovakia, Zuzana Palovic’s family fled the regime to Canada, where she was raised and educated. Despite living far from her homeland, Zuzana remained deeply connected to her roots and Slovak heritage. She earned an NCAA Division 1 tennis scholarship to the United States and completed her Master of Science in the Netherlands. However, her passion for Slovakia ultimately led her to pursue a prestigious PhD in Slovak Migration from the United Kingdom. In 2018, Zuzana founded Global Slovakia. Through this initiative, she aims to bridge cultural divides and elevate Slovakia’s presence on the global stage. Zuzana is the author and co-author of five books and a key figure behind the change in the Slovak Citizenship Act, making Slovak citizenship accessible to descendants worldwide.
