MP Radoslav Procházka has left the Christian Democratic Movement (KDH). He plans to be active in a civic association called Alfa, which he founded to transform Slovakia into what he considers a fair and competent state, the TASR newswire reported on February 18.
Procházka first mentioned his departure from the movement even before the meeting of the KDH Council, which took place at the end of January. The council refused to discuss or implement the changes he had proposed within his Alfa platform. After the meeting, Procházka said he would never again run on the KDH slate.
Procházka introduced his Alfa platform in October 2012. Its main idea is to abolish payroll taxes and the financing of health-care as well as social services from taxes, and to issue a constitutional ban on deficit economic management during an election year as well as a constitutional limitation of the number of taxes. He has also proposed the material responsibility of public officials.
At the moment, Alfa is a registered civic association which unites young people, especially experts, and which plans to bring new ideas and programmes to Slovakia, TASR wrote.
