Catholic bishops criticise "gender ideology" and Lajčák’s rights strategy
The Slovak Bishops Conference (KBS) at its session in the mountain resort of Donovaly on June 18 criticised the spreading of gender ideology, and the Nationwide Human Rights Strategy sponsored by Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák in particular.

Kiska reshuffles three members of judicial council
IN ONE of his first moves after being sworn in, President Andrej Kiska recalled on June 18 three members of the Judicial Council nominated by his predecessor Ivan Gašparovič, replacing the trio in the top judicial body overseeing the operation of the courts in Slovakia with his own nominees. Ján Klučka, Jozef Vozár and Elena Berthotyová will replace Eduard Bárány, Gabriela Šimonová and Mária Bujňáková, with Bárány resigning one day earlier from the council on his own, saying he does not want to be associated with Kiska in any way.

SLOVAKIA borrowed €191 million on financial markets on June 16. As has become tradition recently, the Finance Ministry Debt and Liquidity Management Agency (ARDAL) offered investors bonds in two auctions, the SITA newswire reported.
