“I feel happy at work“! I would like to start every day with these words. Or “I really like going to work” or “I adore my job”! Well, the third example might be a little bit exaggerated. The truth is that I might be closer to this sentence: “ My job is not good at all” or I find myself at the level that “I won’t go there anymore!”
The ‘working atmosphere’ has somehow gone wrong at our company even though I try hard. My BOSS? He sails through the working day comfortably: reading the morning newspapers, having coffee breaks and ‘important meetings’ with our secretary. But it is actually fine that he keeps out of my way because when he visits our office he usually comes with a great new table that even Excel cannot match. And my colleagues? Perhaps you will not even find such sloths at a zoo. They are able to ‘discuss’ the ‘working’ problems till evening. Clients? I absolutely ’adore’ them the most. They always need only what we do not have or do not know or rather what doesn’t exist at all. Even the cleaning ladies spit upon my ideas through which I try to improve the work attitude and they ’quietly’ giggle behind my back.
As you can see, I am in charge of everything here and I have been with our company for years. I try to push our collective work forward at least a bit towards modern trends of the third millennium but the others act as if they were behind the times. Or is something wrong with me? Probably not.
I believe everything will change by 180 degrees when our whole company – led by my boss – attends the conference New Vision in Human Resources 2011 in Bratislava on September 21, 2011.
