Science Week opens new horizons

“SCIENCE WITHOUT conscience is but the ruin of the soul,” famous French writer François Rabelais said five hundred years ago, and hardly anything seems to have changed since then. This need for awareness is most likely the reason the European Commission organises its annual Science Week, which “shows how science – its impact, uses and applications – is relevant to all Europeans regardless of age, background and education.”

Western SLOVAKIAEXHIBITION:IN 1958, Ján Čalovka designed cutlery called Brusel, which is the longest-produced Slovak product in history.
