President Zuzana Čaputová said she trusts that information from the recording between Marian Kočner and former general prosecutor Dobroslav Trnka will not remain without the fast and unequivocal reaction of the competent bodies.

She said that everyone needs to believe that things will not work like this in Slovakia anymore.
“The General Prosecutor should be the highest protector of lawfulness. The published audio shows how this control of lawfulness was subordinated to people suspected of committing crimes,” she said.
The president added that the worst concerns have been confirmed and that the recording indicates how the rule of law functioned in the recent past.
