In a shocking result, Slovakia has defeated Canada 4:3 in their quarter-final game at this year's IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship game.
Slovakia took an early 2:0 lead and went into the second period leading 2:1, before slipping behind after Canada, the pre-match favourite, scored twice in the second period.
It took Slovak until half-way through the third period to level the score. In increasingly frantic late play a Canadian foul resulted in a power play and the final Slovak goal.
Slovakia now goes through to the semi-finals as one of the last four teams.
