Polish airline LOT will extend the offer of flights between Košice and Warsaw in less than a year after their launch. Besides daily morning flights, it will introduce three more flights a week during the day as of June, the SITA newswire reported.
The first flight will be dispatched on June 5. The planes will leave the Warsaw Chopin Airport to Košice at 13:10 every Monday, Thursday and Saturday, while the flights from Košice will depart at 14:55.

The new flights should cut the waiting time necessary for changing planes for passengers travelling from the Polish capital to northern America to only an hour, the airlines informed, as reported by SITA.
The new flights are expected to improve the accessibility of European and more distant destinations for inhabitants of Košice and its surrounding, said Michael Tmej, head of the Košice airport.
“This optimalised flight schedule will offer many opportunities also to Polish travellers,” Tmej added, as quoted by SITA.
