THE NUMBER two in the Slovak phone mobile market, T-Mobile Slovensko, was awarded first prize as the best employer in Slovakia in the category of large companies. Results of the study ‘Hewitt Associates Best Employers Slovakia 2009’ were announced on April 21, the TASR newswire wrote.
This was the fifth year of the competition and T-Mobile Slovensko, which had made it to the list three times before, captured the top spot for the first time.
“Such a place is a huge success for our company,” the itnews.sk portal quoted Milan Vašina, T-Mobile Slovensko’s director general as saying after the results of the study were announced. “It reflects that our employees positively perceive all our activities within HR, our company’s culture and changes within internal processes.”
The job satisfaction of T-Mobile employees increased by almost 20 percent compared with the previous year.
“Employees are our unique capital and our effort is to develop and support them constantly,” said Petra Berecová, director of the HR division at T-Mobile.
In the category of large companies, construction materials producer Slovaktual and insurer Allianz - Slovenská Poisťovňa placed second and third.
The pharmaceutical company Abbott Laboratories Slovakia topped the category of small and medium-sized companies. IT company Eset and the pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline followed.
A total of 37 companies participated in the study. In total, more than 7,200 employees and 1,100 managers evaluated their companies, TASR wrote.
