The Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) MP Natália Blahová, who initiated the investigation of into a case, sent a motion to the Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) of the United Nations to check on the serious and systemic violation of the rights established by the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The reason is, Blahová explained as cited by the Plus Jeden Deň daily, that the Labour Ministry has not been applying all its tools and possibilities to protect children’s rights.
She points to the case of Čistý deň, the resocialisation centre near the town of Galanta, and to the fact that the ministry has not stripped it of its accreditation so far.

Parents of its clients and adult client of the centre have repeatedly called on Blahová to meet with them and participate in a debate. Their reaction to her most recent activity: “You find no time to meet us, parents and clients of Čistý deň; but you have found time to write to the UN and speak to media and boast how you care about children’s rights,” parents wrote to Blahová. “We ask for a meeting with you exactly because we are interested in these children and their rights,” they wrote, as cited by the daily.
