Russia defeats Slovakia

The Slovak national hockey team did not score a single goal in their fifth match at the IIHF World Championships 2017 against Russia.

The Slovak national hockey team lost the game at the IIHF World Championships 2017 against Russia 0:6.

Two Russian goals were scored by Yevgeni Dadonov, while Andrei Mironov, Nikita Kucherov, Ivan Telegin and Vladislav Gavrikov scored one goal each.

Slovakia still has 4 points in the preliminary round.

The Slovaks are playing in group A of the preliminary round, with the matches being held in Cologne, Germany. They face teams from Italy, Latvia, Denmark, Germany, Russia, the USA and Sweden.

Based on current IIHF World Rankings Slovakia is currently in 7th position while Russia ranks 2nd.
