The mandatory electronic communication for selected subjects was officially launched at the beginning of July. To enter the state e-letterbox, the statutory representatives of companies or people they authorise to get the official email need an ID card with an activated electronic chip and a personal security code.

By the end of July, altogether 103,808 natural persons and 109,458 legal entities had logged into their state e-letterbox at least once.

“The advantage of the e-letterbox is that one does not need to check it on a daily basis,” explained head of NASES Norbert Molnár, as quoted by SITA. “After the first login, the users can set notifications that are sent to any other email or text message address. The system will later notify them about new email.”

Slovensko.sk is used mostly by the inhabitants of Bratislava Region, whose share amounts to 44 percent. The total number of entrances into the website in July was 1,518,618, SITA reported.
