EU Constitution ratified
THE SLOVAK parliament smoothly ratified the European Union Constitution, which makes plurality, tolerance and justice the main values of the union. Slovakia is the seventh of the 25 EU member countries to approve the document.

DANCERS from around the world will set Bratislava in motion on May 17. Over the following two weeks they will show off their latest routines at the ninth annual Bratislava in Movement international festival of contemporary dance. What is Slovakia's stand on homosexuality?
TWENTY to thirty years ago, there were officially no homosexuals in Slovakia. At least, that was how the Communist regime treated them. Homosexuals did not exist; they were simply a "product" of the Western world, which, according to party line, was spiralling into chaos and self-destruction.
