Štefanov: We won't lose a single euro over bulletin-board tender

Construction and Regional Development Minister Igor Štefanov said his visit to Brussels on Tuesday, October 6, to discuss the so-called bulletin-board tender was a success, the minister announced at a press conference on Wednesday, October 7. This was despite the EC announcing that Slovakia would not be reimbursed for around €11 million of costs arising from the tender because of serious irregularities in the way it was conducted. Fair-Play Alliance withdraws action against Construction Ministry

Health-care facilities owe €41.7 million to Sociálna Poisťovna

Receivables of the social insurance provider Sociálna Poisťovňa (SP) from health-care facilities amounted to €41.713 million as of the end of June 2009, states a document submitted to the Slovak cabinet on unpaid health insurance premiums on October 6, the SITA newswire reported. Čaplovič to speak with Swedish Environment Minister about UN climate conference

Swedish Environment Minister Andreas Carlgren is meeting with the Slovak Vice-Prime Minister for a Knowledge-Based Society, European Affairs, Human Rights and Minorities, Dušan Čaplovič, on October 7 in Bratislava to discuss preparations for the World Climate Conference later this year, the TASR newswire was told by Ľubomír Šišák from Čaplovič's office.
